Roof Vent and Boot Repair in Sherman Oaks, CA

Roof Vent and Boot Repair in Sherman Oaks, CA

Roof vent and boot repair fixes the plastic and metal collars that seal around pipes, exhaust vents and turbines where they pass through your roof. Sherman Oaks, CA Storm Damage Roof Repair handles these across Sherman Oaks, CA, and they leak far more often than their size suggests.

Pipe boots are the single most common leak source we attend on roofs under twenty years old. The rubber collar sits in direct sun year round, hardens, and splits around the pipe. A crack you could barely fit a fingernail into will pass a surprising volume of water during sustained rain, and because it drains straight down the pipe into the wall cavity, homeowners often blame plumbing.

Storms add their own failures. Hail cracks brittle plastic vent housings, wind tears turbine caps loose, and flying debris knocks whole vents off their bases.

Repairs here are quick and cheap relative to the damage they prevent. A new boot takes minutes once the surrounding shingles are lifted. We fit metal-collared boots rather than all-rubber where the exposure warrants it, because they last considerably longer under UV.

While up there we check every other penetration on the roof, since boots installed at the same time tend to fail at the same time.
